Chile is home to some of the most diverse, abundant landscapes in the world. From the driest desert, San Pedro de Atacama, to the southern Carretera Austral that showcases the grandiose range of the Patagonian region of the Andes, Chile represents many diverse ecosystems, as well as people. In the cities of Santiago and Valparaíso, you can see the inescapable intersection of art, community, and politics. Studying the words and images on the walls can likely tell you more about the history and the people of Chile than any old history book.

I have been selective with what I have chosen to capture as the nature of photography is exploitative no matter how you frame it. There have been many moments solely absorbed into my memory, however, the ones I have chosen to capture hopefully represent a closer look at reality in Chile and in South America.
